Create Your Own Pet Health Plan

Tips, Tricks & All Things Pet Health

You love your pet wholeheartedly, and will do almost anything to keep them safe.

Some people may call us crazy, but as fellow pet owners – we get it. It’s not hard to get lost in a research circle, trying to find the best food, snacks, and toys for your pet. That stress is amplified when you’re concerned about possible allergies, illness, or injuries your pet may be suffering from.

The thing is – no one should have to create their pet health plan alone.

That’s why we’ve created a page dedicated to helping you maximize pet health while minimizing pet stress.

Emergency? We Know Who Can Help.

Emergencies come in all forms — and we’re here to help.

At Urgent Pet Care Center, our experienced team brings over 50 years of combined expertise in emergency veterinary care. In many cases, we can provide the immediate treatment your pet needs right here.

There may be times when your pet’s condition requires overnight or more specialized care. In those situations, we will perform initial diagnostics and treatments for your pet and then facilitate referral to an emergency pet hospital of your choosing.

For more critical cases, we often refer patients to our sister hospital, the Veterinary Emergency Referral Center (VERC). Also owned and operated by Dr. Andrew Diaz, VERC is equipped for specialized care and extended hospitalization, ensuring your pet receives the highest level of support when it’s most needed.

Though it may be a longer drive, VERC offers shorter wait times, transparent pricing, and exceptional, fast-acting care. Additionally, you will not be charged an additional examination fee if you go to VERC immediately after (within 2-3 hours) visiting UPCC. If we refer you there, we’ll notify their team in advance so they’re ready when you arrive.

Depending on your pet’s condition, the time of day, and hospital availability, we may also recommend other trusted 24-hour emergency facilities to ensure timely, appropriate care.
